In my land artworks I examine how humans can collaborate with the landscape. I am interested in the ways humans can have non-detrimental (yet active) influences on nature. This includes making marks in the landscape (by digging in dirt or stomping in snow), rearranging found elements (rocks, plants) and lighting (building fires, using light beams). This research goes against some of the tenants of "Leave No Trace" as I deliberately am leaving traces in the landscape.

In my paintings I explore how I can create patterns reminiscent of nature (sunset gradients, plant textures) using indirect ways (smears, pours, masking).

I am originally from Paris, France; I live and work in Santa Fe.
